The tree is up

Prior to our departure to Colombia, the five of us, plus a driver, made the expedition to purchase The Tree, whew!!  About five stops later, we were well on the outskirts of town at about the last place any of the various people we asked "where do you think there might be a tree left?" was this trove found.  

Much discussion followed, I assume— as I stayed well away talking with a well-armed special forces looking policeman about his armaments.  A Christman — grammatical spelling is used— or perhaps Crissman — who knows?  anyway we like the new spelling for this year from our grandson Raleigh.

There are lots of these trees for Raleigh to point out to us around town and in the various stores and shopping malls.  America has done a good job exporting the fir tree as the appropriate tree for Christmas.

When we returned from Columbia - the tree was up. How nice is that? and it is where Raleigh and I play- a- the- blocks too.

Yes it is warm here too - no make that hot here!!  Might have already mentioned that. We enjoy swimming several days a week.

and we enjoy the porch —  while you guys may be getting daffodils, we still have whatever this flower is on the porch patio on the north side of the condo. Clinton looks sporting in an ASU onesie.

and in Parque Uraca just across the street the swings in the shade are a wild ride for both of us.

and speaking of shade —  late in the day occasionally shade plus breeze plus outside fans makes it comfortable enough and fun for outside dining and a glass of wine. Which we enjoy too — you can take that one to the bank.
