our snow is about gone

reckon some of you all still have a bunch
We have nieces and nephews and cousins and friends that are still under feet, yes feet, of snow. This is what was left of the snow last weekend after just two days.
Patt as you can see stays on the sidewalk, avoiding getting a shoe full of slush. After staying in on Saturday and Sunday on Monday we were ready to go out. We did and after work had a few errands, the drug store, and then the dreaded grocery store.
As you can see I was overjoyed to be in a grocery store. Thankfully it was nearly deserted as there were only a few hearty soles out braving the wintery conditions. We also did not stay long, I do not do well in a grocery store if we stay very long. Patt knows that and humors me. Sometimes though she tolerates me.
Tuesday my office parking lot was still a bit of a mess, but the photo below shows that this week all we have left are a few piles of snow where some of the larger piles were pushed up when the tractor cleared the lot last week. (you may notice the roads are even dry). To those of you way up north in Virginia and Maryland. We sure do hope your snow melts fairly quickly, and that you can enjoy the snow while it is there. To those further way up north near the great lakes, well we can only imagine.

  1. Yesterday we looked very similar to you. Only snow in the piled up places. We had a dusting of snow this morning and are supposed to get about 8 inches by tomorrow! Not nearly as much as Maryland but we'll take it!

  2. No snow left for us either nor any in the forecast. I'd love a day or so of that mid-Atlantic snow, but just a day or so. Being the true Southern girl that I am...I couldn't take much more than that. Besides, that'd mean the kids were at home instead of school...again...couldn't take much more than that!

  3. I got about 2.5 feet, and they're predicting at least another foot tonight and tomorrow. The snow piles in my parking lot are taller than I am and it took me 2 hours to get to work this morning. I also walked to the grocery store yesterday and fell on the way back... Northern VA is a lot of fun right now.
